We have been using Arbico BUGS. Yes - we use bugs to control flies in the spring and summer months. These little insects help to battle the fly population. We have been using them for 5 years and we are very happy with the results. You can find out more information on their website at www.arbico.com We also encourage the use of fly masks and minimal use of fly spray. With the use of the ARBICO bugs, it is recommened horse fly spray is used minimally. We will put fly masks on in the morning and apply fly spray if the horse will stand for the application. And then in the evening we remove the masks and clean out your horses eyes of any dirt build up. This is done every day.

We have received a grant from NJ Rutgers for pasture management, I will send that info when I have more to write.
